Birthdays in Heaven...

Happy Birthday Hadilyn & lil' Arie! (Our 1st niece & nephew and the 1st cousins Trey & Boston had) I am just going to assume that up in heaven you guys are having a HUGE 1st birthday party--I am hoping with a theme that is ran into the ground :) because that is the way we like to do it around here--well at least I would be trying to sneak tons of things in and your Mom would be staring at me and probably telling me "don't you think that's a little over the top"? And I would tell her "no" and do it anyway! Oh how I long for you to be here with us--sharing in everything we do! Not a day goes by that I don't think about you guys, the day that I met you 2 and the few short hours I got to hold you guys has changed my life forever!

May we live worthy enough to be with you someday, we love you sweet babies!!!

Be still, my soul: the Lord is on your side.
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain;
leave to your God to order and provide;
in every change God faithful will remain.
Be still, my soul: your best, your heavenly friend
through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.

Be still, my soul: your God will undertake
to guide the future, as in ages past.
Your hope, your confidence let nothing shake;
all now mysterious shall be bright at last.
Be still, my soul: the waves and winds still know
the Christ who ruled them while he dwelt below.

Be still, my soul: the hour is hastening on
when we shall be forever with the Lord,
when disappointment, grief, and fear are gone,
sorrow for forgot, loves purest joys restored.
Be still, my soul: when change and tears are past,
all safe and blessed we shall meet at last.

Love that Song! I've followed your family's story from a distance and am so sorry for your loss. I'm so thankful that we have a loving Savior who will one day reunite us but I know that the waiting can be tough. "Be still my soul" was a song I have listened to sooo many times in the last year since losing my Dad. There is another verse that is not as commonly sung and may have even been added later. You may have heard this version but thought I'd share it anyways...I just love the last line.

Be still, my soul: when dearest friends depart,
And all is darkened in the vale of tears,
Then shalt thou better know His love, His heart,
Who comes to soothe thy sorrow and thy fears.
Be still, my soul: thy Jesus can repay
From His own fullness all He takes away.

Praying for your family.
