10 Months

This past month...

-you go from laying down to sitting up on your own (I know that took forever-lol)

-you started holding your breath to go under water at swim lessons

-you can crawl normal and quite FAST now

-you started pulling yourself up to stand--but you have no balance whatsoever-lol

-I am almost positive when you say mama that you know its me

-have crazy bed head hair in the mornings now

-you use your pointer finger and thumb now to grab things

-had your 1st ear infection

-you play this little game of crawling really fast to get away if I chase you

-you are less and less interested in your pureed foods and want what mommy and daddy are eating

-you started getting super excited when daddy gets home from work by screaming and smiling and crawling to him

Every month just keeps getting more fun and I love getting to experience all your 1st's with you! It is almost like I am doing it all for the first time too I get sooo excited! It is the best feeling to do everyday things with you and I am so blessed to be able to stay home with you!

We went swimming for most of the day--Trey absolutely loves the water! Then Mark made a GREAT dinner to celebrate my dad's birthday & Memorial Day!

Farmers Market

So this morning I got up at 5:00--I have no clue why I could not fall back asleep but whatever--anyways we have a farmers market down the street from us and since I was awake and actually remembered, Trey and I went. I absolutely loved it and found out that there are hours for people like me for the rest of the time when I dont get up at the crack of dawn. They have amazing fruits and veggies that do not look like the ones in the store. These veggies were HUGE--clearly Fry's is jipping us lol. While we were there Trey had this weird obsession with this carrot that was the size of his head!

Fun at the Fire Station!

We had a blast today hanging out at Fire Station 152! We went with Hallie and Rylan to eat dinner with Dylan and the other guys at the station. We stayed for about 4 hours--Trey and Rylan mainly played and LOVED getting all the attention from the men, but I am pretty sure Mark got to have all the fun since he got to go on 2 ride alongs when they got called on their brand new fire truck. We are going to have to go back soon because Dylan is going to take us up in the ladder--it was gone on a call for awhile so we didn't get to this time!!!

A unfortunate First!

Well the LR3 has sure sold me on how its made!!!! Literally we were hit so hard and that's all the damage! You should see their car from the front!

So this was a first I could have for sure lived without... Trey's 1st car accident! (WE ARE ALL OK just really sore) Today as we were driving thru the intersection of Priest and Warner (way after the light turned green) some lovely ASU guys not paying attention and intoxicated RAN the red light and nailed the back of our car... Luckily Mark swerved out of the way so they just hit the back corner of the car as opposed to the side. Since they thought actually who knows what they thought there was no braking on their end just driving at 50 mph into us. Then the idiots have the nerve to come over and ask us "did we run the red light" after they run into the gas station buy huge waters and chug them. Oh and then did I mention that their friends pulled up and emptied their car for them and then drove off all by the time the police came! Luckily there were so many witnesses that saw the whole thing that no questions were asked about who did what. And luckily we had Mark's sister and boyfriend with us to handle Trey while sitting outside in the 105 degrees forever! So yes our Land Rover needs a little work now but NOTHING compared to their poor little car that could not even drive away. Nobody in our car was hurt (praise God because it could have been a BAD accident) and I honestly dont know what was wrong with the other car I know a drunk guys leg got hurt some how but he was not wearing a seatbelt either and personally this Mama bear has no sympathy for putting her little baby in danger-LOL!

Broke down and got a BALLPIT!

So this is something pre-baby I NEVER in a million years thought I would ever buy--because I just could not fathom the point of a toy that has 300 balls that could be flung all over my house. (It didn't have to have 300 balls but when you are a married to a guy who is still part child you buy the additional 250 ball kit) But when I saw Trey playing in this toy at a friends house and how content he was for so long I thought what the heck!!!! So now I own a rather LARGE ball pit that Trey (and Mark for that matter) does love--but me being the anal obsessive freak that I am carries this toy up and down my stairs so I can "put it away" lol! (honestly it is not nearly as messy as you would think it is)

Well GiGi & Poppie came back from the launch with some gifts--a NASA flight suit for Trey and a stuffed monkey in a NASA space suit!!!! We are going to have Uncle Scott autograph your monkey the next time we see him!!!

Space Shuttle Mission: STS-125

(My aunt and uncle are 3rd couple from left) My uncle has been in quarantine and they only people that were allowed to go stand by the astronauts were the spouses...
Well Trey today at 2:01pm (EDT) your great Uncle Scott started his 11 day mission to service NASA's hubble telescope! He is serving as Atlantis' commander so we are very proud of him and so bummed we could not be there with the rest of the family to see him off... (we already had 4 vacations scheduled in the next 2 months when they changed the date to May) So we are waiting for Shayla and GiGi to come home and give us the scoop since they got to go!!!

Mama's Day

Well I had a very nice 1st Mother's Day! We went to church and then Mark, Trey and I went and had lunch at The Buttes--which was very good!!! Then we went over to The Smith's and Mark and my In-laws got me the BEST present ever--A vinyl machine!!!! I am soooo excited to use it!!!! (I am going to have to limit myself otherwise EVERYTHING will be covered in vinyl)

Trey's cute D-backs shirt (it used to be a romper but if you know me at all I have some personal issues with the 1 piece outfits so I cut the bottom off and sewed the hem and turned it into a shirt--very proud of my skills-lol)
Tonight we took Trey to his 1st MLB game! He did great and made it all the way to the 8th inning before deciding that he'd had enough (plus it was past his bedtime) Thanks Bethany & Brandon for inviting us!!!

Cinco De Mayo!

Where'd he go?

Today with our HOT MAMA'S playgroup-lol-we had a pool party for Cinco De Mayo! The babies had a blast as well as the mama's. It is so fun to see the babies all grow together--some of us have been getting together since they were about 2 months old!!!
