New Year's Eve...

To bring in the New Year we layed low this year--The Stillman Family came over and had a slumber party with us! Mark made an amazing beef loin for dinner and Kristin made cheesecake!

Christmas Eve

This year on Christmas Eve we spent it at The Smith's house baking, doing our Secret Santa Exchange, and going to church together! Trey made out like a bandit from MiMi and PaPa!!!

The Smith's version of "Dirty Sexy Money"

Every year we take a big family photo for Mark's parents Christmas card and I have to say I think this one is my FAVORITE! (Mark's parents, 5 sisters, and us!) The one above was the winner!

Zoolights!

As many of you know Trey has quite the fascination with lights--any kind from ceilings to table lamps--well Christmas lights are no exception he LOVES them and will sit in front of our tree staring in awe so Zoo lights was right up his alley. We walked around for a couple of hours and he happily rode in his stroller the whole time staring up like all the lights were his own personal toy.

Of course we had to go see Santa this year which Trey had no problem with--he was more interested into the Christmas setup around him--I am sure next year will be a different story! Yes he is in a reindeer shirt and socks-lol

4 Month Well Check-up

Today was your 4 month checkup--I don't know where the time has gone. I feel like yesterday we were driving you home from the hospital and now you are weighing in at 14 lbs. 14oz and are 25 inches long without that infant look! The time has flown by and I can't wait to see what you are doing in another4 months.

Thanksgiving

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving at Honeybears with the Smith's--today started out EARLY for Mark--he had to get up at 3:30 am to go fry 60 turkeys and then cook all of the food for our dinner with his dad. Trey and I got up much later at 9:00 and headed over to see Presley on our way to Honeybears. After our huge dinner we headed to Tucson to visit with some of my out of town family. It was quite the day!

Mini Trip to Tucson

For once I finally had a couple days where I had nothing to do so Trey and I decided to go to Tucson and stay at GiGi & PaPa's. It was so nice to get to be with them without rushing! I miss them not being up in Phoenix sooo much! There's not a lot of pics cuz' we didn't do much but relax at the house.

Monday Night Football

We were so excited to take Trey to his 1st Cardinal football game this year (we had been talking about it since he was still in my belly) He absolutely LOVED it since there was so much going on everywhere--the entire game he never made a peep!

Well today Trey got a sneak peak inside the voting polls! He was quite content looking around at everyone, and quite the people watcher-lol. We have to start our "lil Republican" out early! Luckily we got right in and had no line to wait in.

Trey's First Halloween

To celebrate Trey's first Halloween--this year we went to a Harvest Festival with our friends Kristin & Preston and their little girl Presley ! As you can see Trey went as a giraffe. He only made it for about an hour...

We also got together this week with some other friends Dylan & Hallie who have a little boy 10 weeks older than Trey-so of course we dressed them up and took pics of them together!

Trey's Dedication @ Church

Well today Trey was dedicated at church which was very exciting because both of our families got to be there! I was very excited for today because I got to put Trey in shoes and a hat-that's pretty much all the accessorizing I get to do with a boy-lol! He did great up on stage and even managed to fall asleep while he was getting his blessing!

My first blog

Well I am finally somewhat giving in to the whole myspace-facebook craze and am creating a blog instead! I am mainly doing this for out-of-town family and friends that hound me for pictures and updates of the baby (and because I feel like every person I know has some sort of blog according to the other moms at our church) I will try and stay on top of this so whoever wants to be a part of Trey growing up can be. Speaking of "Trey" just so you all know that is the nickname we have decided to call him since I just had too many Marks in my life! Here he is going to Shaw's football game!
FYI-I am working on backdating the blog because of some requests to see maternity/newborns pics...

Trey's First Photoshoot

Well today Trey had his first photoshoot which went as well as things could go when your model is 10 days old. A little pee on blankets, poop on dad's arm and you end up with amazing memories! I will let the pictures say the rest!!!

Our new Addition!

Well at exactly 3 weeks early to the day Mark Smith III made his debut! Honestly it was not the biggest shock seeing how he tried to come twice already but was stopped. You would think sense he did try to come already I would know what labor would feel like--but I didn't. I started having contractions around 4:30pm while Mark was playing Madden on Playstation so of course I did what every girl would do--Get in the shower and wash my hair so if it was the real thing at least my hair looked good-lol. So I am blow drying my hair and telling Mark that they were pretty intense contractions & coming every 3 minutes--so he continues to play Madden and time them acting like I am making a big deal out of nothing. Long story short he tells me to wait and after 4 hours (and his game is finished) I get him to believe me--what does he do--Takes a shower and gets ready-lol. So we arrive at the hospital after some debating if we should really go and I am 4 cm. and 100% efaced. Needless to say by early morning we had our baby boy in our arms!
